Bamileke Feather Juju Hat - Guinea Fowl
In Africa, the Bamileke Feather Juju Hat is a symbol of prosperity and wealth, believed to possess the positive qualities of birds and beauty.
Skilfully handmade by artisans in Cameroon, the Juju hat or Bamileke feather headdress is traditionally worn by royal dancers during significant ceremonies held by tribal chiefs in the Cameroon region of Central Africa. Since then, the Juju hat has evolved as a contemporary piece in wall décor for homes and other interior designs.
Each Bamileke feather Juju is meticulously handcrafted from beautiful bird feathers which are hand sewn onto a raffia base which opens up into a impressive textured round circle. Being hand-made, each one is unique, no two are exactly the same.
Juju hats are textured pieces of art work and they are the perfect way to dress up a blank wall given their impressive visual effect. Juju hats have gained popularity with interior designers, and are guaranteed to make a statement in your home.
When not in use, the Juju hat can be neatly folded in on itself for easy storage.
